"Work To Become, Not To Acquire" An Elbert Hubbard Quote by Silicon Valley REALTOR Michelle Carr Crowe
Think about the goals you have in place. Are they goals where you achieve an accomplishment, or are they goals to achieve some material-- like a new office space, or some local/business-related award? If you have goals that are the former, then you are in good shape! If they're the latter, though, then you will need to re-think what you want to get out of your efforts.
By choosing to focus on goals that are actual accomplishments, such as calling 10-people a day for X amount of weeks, then you are going to become someone better. You gain better business skills, and you learn how to make better strategies to achieve what you want. If there's a material win, your focus becomes less on bettering yourself to simply focusing on the item you're wanting. Awards are great, but being someone with a positive attitude and strong moral values is better.
