Pondering on Thankfulness and On Being Thankful
Pondering on thankfulness.
And on being thankful.
I ponder.
Because it’s Sunday.
And because I can.
Truth be told -- I ponder on other days too.
More truth: I’ve been pondering more than usual lately.
Yes, because I can. And because I think there’s a reason.
More later. Maybe. It depends. Because it really does.
I digress. Yeah...still.
I looked to find what thoughts others might share on the subject of thankfulness. And on being thankful. Here are some things I found. And learned. Hey, there's a reason to all this pondering...
Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough
Oprah Winfrey
Sometimes we spend so much time and energy thinking about where we want to go that we don’t notice where we happen to be
Dan Gutman
Rest and be thankful
William Woodsworth
We would worry less if we praised more.
Thanksgiving is the enemy of discontent and dissatisfaction.”
H.A. Ironside
I may not be where I want to be but
I'm thankful for not being where I used to be.
Habeeb Akande
I try every day to be thankful. Some days are easier than others. Some days the gratitude seems to be in abundance. Other days...not so much.
I’m truly thankful for what I have.
The opportunities.
The rewards.
The riches...well..of sorts.
Just because.
I can be better at being thankful. It’s a practice. I’m continuing to learn. Each and every day. Thankfully.
