Many people say it when they see a veteran, "Thank you for your service." I recently saw the movie with that name and it made me realize again how much our veterans sacrifice for all of those who live in this free nation.
It have often heard the saying that freedom is not free.
On Veteran's Day, I hope we all take the time to stop and say a prayer for those who have defended our freedom over the years and the family's of the veterans who have sacrificed as well.
At the end of the movie a soulful song was sung. Here are some of the lyrics:
"Some say freedom is free, but I'm prone to disagree.
I say freedom is won through the barrel of a gun.
Tell me why, tell me why does my brother have to die...."
So on the day immediately following Veteran's Day, I would like to offer a great big "thank you" to all those who have defended the freedom of this wonderful nation!
