Intricate Green Yard Art Beautifies My Home

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty Louisville East (502) 664-7827

It is art. It's organic. It's natural. It's beautiful. It's pristine. It just shows up in my front yard every year.

Autumn leaves in Louisville KY

These are the green leaves that are in a hurry. They don't have the patience to turn bright yellow, to dry up and to hopelessly cling to the twigs and limbs that brought them to life. Nope. They just leap to the ground with the first Louisville autumn wind to weave a green tapestry blanket that covers and protects the grass and soil below from the imminent cold and snow.

Nature in harmony. Right in my front yard, and probably in your front yard , too.

Ha, ha, ha. They ARE pretty, though, Dave. I can see why you like a blanket of that on your lawn. Red and green maple leaves intertwined are pretty, too.

My lawn guy came last Wednesday morning.  By that afternoon, I had another blanket of leaves.  Had I not witnessed his mowing, I would have thought he hadn't come.

It makes a nice pattern.  I'm guessing those are ginko leaves.  They are supposed to be healthy too - do you use them for anything?
