Growing up I had a best girlfriend. That girlfriend is no longer in my life. Friends for a season and she was my best bestie for 18 years. When our friendship ended I realized that I didn't have a lot of female friends. I set out to change that and found that my mom was a wonderful friend.
And while I was a parent first while I was raising my daugher, now that she's an adult she is also one of my best friends. I hope I live long enough that my grandson and I will be friends one day.
Today my daughter and I made (well at least it was an attempt) Christmas wreaths for our doors. It wasn't as easy as pinterest made it look, but we enjoyed our time together. And tomorrow we're going shopping. And the week after Thanksgiving my mom and I are going to go shopping. I love to spend time with both of them.
I'm very Thankful they are both in my life and that I think of them both as friends.

Hi Tammy... your post made my heart feel good... my mom's been gone for almost 20 years and I still miss her greatly all these years later. Treasure the time you have with her.
Tammy Lankford, - A mother-daughter; daughter-mother bond is so healthy and beneficial in countless ways. What a blessing to have them both. I love that photograph of the 3 of you and your blouse is perfect for those questions too! May your relationships with mother and daughter always be strong and may you have an outstanding bond with your grandson too.
Tammy Lankford, Congratulations! I know you are counting the days. Vicariously you are living in that moment with Cooper before he makes his debut! Wishing you a bundle of joy and many happy Grandma moments!!!
Yes my mom was my best friend later in life the sad thing is I do not think she ever realized it! I too had a bestie for a long-time and after that I really did not have many female best friends...more so males.
