I'm so appreciative of the great relationship I have with my clients, and the honor of being able to serve them as their Realtor. My business is based solely on referrals. I don't advertise my real estate services, and get clients only by word-of-mouth advertising. I'm very fortunate to have clients, friends and business associates who refer their friends, family and colleagues to me when they need help with real estate matters. The good opinion of my clients means the world to me, and I work very hard on their behalf in order to continually be deserving of their referrals. The relationship with my clients doesn't close when the transaction closes. I continue to stay in touch with my client base through regular newsletters that contain not only up-to-date real estate market data, but also always a small item of value, from coupons, to summer event schedules, or lottery tickets. In addition, I host a fun client appreciation BBQ in the summer, with great food, games and prizes. This summer was my 10th annual client appreciation BBQ. As an additional show of appreciation around the Thanksgiving holiday, my November newsletter always contains a blank Thank You card with a pre-stamped envelope and the encouragement to express gratitude to others by dropping a note to someone my clients would like to say "thank you" to.
I believe that gratitude is something that has to be expressed often, not just felt.
