Thankfulness is not just a state of mind it is reality: I am so thankful for having such an awesome company supporting me and watching out for my back.
As most of you know it has been well over five years that I made the leap of faith and left a big box name brand Brokerage. Why did I leave? Well the list is long, and the post is short. Primarily the company was too ‘Corporate’ for me, decisions took many levels and a long time. In other words there were so many layers, such as local manager, regional manager, regional vice president, regional senior vice president and the list goes on and on to get anything approved… you get the idea.
To add insult to injury all the corporate mucky mucks cared about was how the bottom line would be best serve them to get a pay raise of a promotion for themselves, even if they had to rob from their employees…
Berkshire Hathaway does not believe in this concept. The idea is they think like Realtors, answers must be quick and helpful to the transaction. I have loved the last five years, particularly if I needed a question resolved, it was done within 24 hrs., not five layers and a week or longer to get a mediocre to lousy answer.
So, with that said, Warren Buffett’s imprint is on all the levels not just at the upper levels. The employee comes first and that in turn will insure that the Client will be taken care of and the rest is easy.
Then too, they totally understand all this, having a Manager who actually cares and is not just giving lip service to his agents is truly rewarding. I am so grateful to be a Realtor working under the Berkshire Hathaway umbrella for and with a Manager who is caring and looking out for my best interest.
I can hear my father, he always said count your blessings, because this does not happen too often in life. There are few great managers and few great companies that care about their employees.
I am so lucky and in turn I help my buyers and they also understand that they are being taken care of not just by me but by the support team and the Brokerage as well.
