#10 of Activerain's "thankful" contest.
Picture this, everyday chores need to be done especially those that come up suddenly like the battery in our 2nd car, a GMC truck, is on the fritz. That's probably not a technical term for when the red warning lights light comes on on the dashboard when my significant other starts the truck.
So here we are going into town to get the battery checked out. Me, as usual, am sitting in the passenger seat working my iPhone with texts to American Home Shield to set up warranties for the buyers of my listing that's in escrow.
I'm not even sure why I went along, but I really needed a change of scenery from my office-away-from-my-Carmel office in the Redwood forest in northern California.
And, guess what, after testing the GMC battery and finding out it was on its last legs, we find out that it is still under WARRANTY and that we will get a replacement. We didn't even have to pay for even part of it, but got a replacement worth a whopping $227 because it was still under WARRANTY.
Wow, and here I was working on setting up home warranties for my buyers.
Don't know, I always thought it was kind of money questionably spent, but after looking at the inclusions in that home warranty, I am looking at them with totally fresh eyes.
In fact, after talking to my buyer client, he signed up for a 2-year warranty.
