Finally, finally I got around to remodeling my bathroom and the thing that inspired the whole design was my shower curtain! Of course I neglected to take a proper before picture but there was nothing in my old bathroom that was worth remembering. I was too eager and happy to tear it all out to stop and take a picture.
My old bathroom was all 'lovely' builder grade basic stuff and very beige. It wasn't a comfortable space and I didn't enjoy taking showers. But that's all changed now thanks to my shower curtain and James Harris & his crew, Direct Drain Cleaning, LLC. Don't let the name fool you, although an expert when it comes to drains and plumbing, James does much more than that!
Without further ado, here are some pics:
Yes, I am totally in love with my new bathroom and am thankful to James & his guys for making my shower curtain-inspired vision a reality.
If you have a room or 2 in your house that is/are in need of a remodel, pick one item (a painting, a pillow, curtains ...) and design away. Look at the color scheme, patterns and lines and play around. Start an idea book, save images on a Pinterest board and.. take your time! Perhaps not 4 years like I did but don't rush into a major remodel. Chances are, you'll be spending quite a bit of money, so take your time and plan it right.
It's been about 3 weeks since I finished my bathroom remodel and already I am looking around my house itching to start the next project. The whole process can be exhausting, yes, but it's also very rewarding.
On a not so unimportant side note, I took my passion for decorating to a new level back in 2014 when I earned the Accredited Staging Professional® (ASP®) Designation for Real Estate Agents. I am available to all my clients to assist with their [design/remodel] projects... be it staging before we put their house on the market or giving some input after they just moved into their new home or any time along the way! It's just what I love to do!
