The smell of fresh pine cannot be beat!  If you want to avoid the big box stores and cut your own tree this year, there are many U-cut Christmas Tree Farms are scattered throughout Maple Valley and the surrounding cities. These farms provide a wonderful outing for the family and bring to life the spirit of Christmas. Most of these farms offer not only Christmas Trees but wreaths, hay rides, sleigh rides, and even some gift shops. Some are even pet friendly so your four-legged friends don’t have to be excluded from this Christmas tradition. Crystal Creek farm is 23 acre farm located off Cedar Grove Road in Maple Valley. They provide you with Noble Firs up to 16’ tall and Grand Fir trees that range in sizes.

 

Three Trees Farm

Family owned and operated, Three Trees Farm offers both U-Cut and pre-cut tree choices. Nestled at the base of Taylor Mountain in the Hobart area, they have Nobles, Grands, Frazier’s, and Nordmans up to 14 feet tall!  They also offer wreaths, swags, and local honey. Once you have picked out your perfect tree (they have over 5,000 to choose from!) take a few minutes to enjoy a complimentary home-made blueberry muffin and a cup of hot chocolate (or a cup of hot apple cider).

Wilson Hill is a 110 year old family owned farm that has passed from generation to generation.  At Wilson Hill you can cut your own tree down or they will cut for you.  What’s unique about this farm is that in mid-late October you can pre-tag your tree! Which means that you can take  advantage of our typically nice October weather, take your time, and pick the perfect tree before the holiday rush) They have complimentary hot drinks and cookies in the gift shop. They are pet friendly as long as your pet is on a leash.

This farm, located right off Highway 18 and Issaquah-Hobart Road, has Noble Fir, Douglas Fir, Grand Fir, and Fraser Fir trees. The trees range in size from 5 foot to 14 foot tall. Enchanted Winds will even lend you a saw, kneeling pad, and an umbrella if it is raining, to make cutting down your tree easy. And if you need help carrying it out, they will help with that too. After you cut down your perfect tree, visit the barn to enjoy complimentary hot cider and cookies, while browsing the selection of gifts, ornaments, decorations, garlands, and hand crafted wreaths. Weather permitting, they even have hay rides! Open the day after Thanksgiving.

Coates Christmas Tree Farm  is open the day after Thanksgiving and offers 8 different species of trees. Their trees range in prices from $29.50 up to $55.50 and are priced depending on species regardless of the size. Santa always visits on the weekends.  They offer hay rides, hot chocolate, and cider. Make it a family event and bring the pet along to, as Coates is pet friendly (as long as they are leashed).

The Country Tree Farm invites you to experience the fun of Christmas tree hunting. This 4-acre farm with over 25 years of experience offers all natural, pesticide and chemical-free trees.  Each tree is hand trimmed and fully fragrant. They feature Noble and Grand Firs up to 25 feet tall. You can build your own wreath in their barn and enjoy some hot apple cider along with a snack.

Located 2 miles south of Kent-Kangley Road this family owned and operated Christmas tree offers a one of kind experience.  They offer Douglas fir, Noble, Turkish, and Grand Fir Trees. Kids can get their picture taken with Santa Claus and you can stop by see what Ms. Claus is up to as well. They have alpacas for you to visit. This year Pfaff’s is an official Toys for Tots donation point, so bring some toys by and make a child Christmas even better
