To Avoid Realtor Overload Have A Real Estate Team Help You Buy Or Sell

By
Real Estate Agent with Dave Halpern Real Estate Agent, Inc., Louisville, KY (502) 664-7827

Have you ever heard these musings from a friend selling or buying a house?

My Realtor is too busy

My Realtor doesn't do open houses

My Realtor doesn't do enough marketing

My Realtor doesn't communicate enough

My Realtor doesn't move fast enough when a hot property hits the market and we lose out on a house we loved

The Realtor may just be too busy!

So, next time you need a Realtor, ask yourself:

Will my Realtor be carrying an OVERSIZE LOAD?

Dave Halpern Real Estate Team

You should definitely consider using a Realtor who is a member of a team.

There are real estate teams and there are solo agents. Solo agents have to do by themselves the 100+ activities needed from start to finish to get a real estate transaction done. If they have just a handful of active buyers and sellers they are bogged down with hundreds of tasks.

Real estate teams have solved that problem. Teams have the human resources and the technical resources to distribute the tasks to the right people for the task. Typically there is a full-time administrative assistant, a marketing assistant, even a showing assistant if that hot property hits the market and someone needs to run out with you to grab it.

Those resources free up your Realtor to perform the tasks that are most important for giving you full personalized service.

Working with a Realtor on a team does not cost the end-consumer one penny more, whether you are buying or selling.

When seeking to buy or sell a home in Louisville, KY, contact the Dave Halpern Real Estate Team at Keller Williams Realty Louisville East. We can be reached at (502) 664-7827

Whenever I have had a call from someone whose own agent is too busy to show one of my listings,  I always call their agent to let them know I've gotten the call and am happy to show it if they are unable to, but magically, they then manage to find someone to do it.  I cannot imagine telling my own client to call the listing agent or leading them to believe I am too busy for them, but as you say, sometimes solo agents have a lot on their plate and just cannot do it all.

Expanding my solo practice with a team (albeit, we don't operate like the typical 'team'), has helped me quadruple my business. And, our clients love knowing they're not going to miss the next hot house because they are not limited to just me anymore.

Teams are great when everyone is on the same page. I have a support team to back me up if needed, but I work independently.   Teaming up for me can only work if the other(s) have exactly the same work ethic I do.

Good morning Dave.  A well-run team is often more efficient than a lone individual.

We also let them know we'll be calling their agent as a courtesy to let them know we'll be showing a listing to their clients. Magically the agent find the time. ;)

I've seen both work well. The solo agent who does not take on too many clients and the well run team. I have seen the exact opposite..the team that continually passes the buck and blames someone else for not getting it done and the agent who is just too busy to get back to you.

Point:

Not all teams are efficient.

Not all solo agents are on over load!

Well run teams work very well then there are others that the one hand doesn't know what the other is doing and it makes them all look bad.

Oklahoma now requires Real estate brokerages to register any Real Estate Teams that are working that way, by team name.  This has only recently started.  I'm not sure why but it seems like a good idea.
