Open house 1980 Searcy AR real estate ad

Holidays are good for giving you time to go through old things.

While going through old papers today, I found this ad.  I thought, "WOW!  That is the first open house that I ever held when I started in the real estate business!"  I started looking to see if was the same one that I thought it should be.  I looked and looked!  You can look and look and there seems to be a small problem......no address for the property.  I did work for Lightle Dobbins & Lightle and the address for that office was Corner Arch & Apple.  So that is not the address of the house.  The date of the ad was 4/25/1980 and it was not my listing.  The real estate agent who had it listed did not want to do it so I held it open with his permission.  Thinking back, I remember only one visitor and they were neighbors.  So perhaps now, 37 years later, I know why we had so few visitors.  Prices HAVE gone up since then!

Kinda gives away the sellers edge on this one.    But, it may also have been their decision

And with only one visitor, the caption "Interest is low" is actually a prediction of the "interest" in the property!

William Feela, you could be right.

Roger, that is funny!  I should have said that the one group, husband and wife who lived across the street, became good friends and clients.  I sold them a house (not that one) and sold their's and love them still!
