The internet really has revolutionized how we shop, and not always for the better! When it comes to your home search, there are seemingly an infinite number of sites and homes to sift through. In the Dallas/Fort Worth area, there's of course Zillow, Trulia, DFWTexasDreamHomes.com, and many more.

What are the pitfalls of relying on the internet for your home search?

First, on many of those sites (except for maybe DFWTexasDreamHomes.com), many of those listings could be out of date or inaccurate.

When looking at home listings online, they lack important context. What they don't show you is the vital information about the neighborhood a home is in,  and that home's true value. Quite often you also see dark, unprofessional pictures. And, when the pictures are good, they are obviously highlighting the best features of the home.

Finally, when you look for a new home online, you are bombarded with so much information it can be overwhelming. The number of bedrooms and bathrooms, is it a one story or two story, how do the kitchens compare, and how about the master suite?

When you're ready to buy, sell or invest in real estate, you need trusted local experts to sort through all the possibilities. In the Dallas/Fort Worth area, we'll help you make sense of it all by focusing on the factors that are important to you. Call us today to arrange a personalized consultation!
