Houston New Construction continues to grow

By
Industry Observer

The new construction market continues to increase, it is at a 8 month high for confidence level in November. The trend will continue through the next year as the economic confidence and job market grows. The builders continue to face labor and material shortage as well as new lots coming on very slowly in the Houston market. The low inventory level along with increase in demand will keep this trend going for the next year.

That's good news for the Houston real estate market place, Yolanda.  We aren't building them fast enough here in Sacramento.

Yolanda, after many years of no new construction, it's a good thing for builders, home buyers, and the real estate community in general that new construction is one the rise to fill in the gaps in inventory.

That's terrific news Yolanda. We can use all the new inventory we can get in the Charlotte area. Contruction is ramping up but it's lagging demand much like much of the country.

Yolanda

It continues to amaze me how they always seem to find new land to build on. Here, things are so tight and it is so difficult to get new projects approved, building is always slow, cheers cvc

That is certainly good for the position you are in and hopefully the builders continue to be fair, rather than taking advantage of a situation.
