Talavera is a beautiful neighborhood of single family homes that is conveniently located just minutes from La Quinta and Palm Desert. An added bonus, Talavera homeowners have easy access to Interstate-10 via the now completed Jefferson Street ramps.
It's not uncommon to see kids playing in the street outside of their home or in one of many neighborhood parks in Talavera. Sidewalks line the main roads making the community a hit for running enthusiast. You'll often see homeowners taking leisurely strolls with their pets. The neighborhood is a great choice if you have teenagers as it's close enough to the middle school and Shadow Hills High School for students to walk to school or ride their bikes.

What's the Neighborhood Like?
Talavera consists of single and two-story homes. The homes range from 1500 sq.ft. to 3000 sq.ft. and were built by DR Horton starting in 2005. The last set of homes in this subdivision were built in 2008.
The smallest homes in the neighborhood start with 3 bedrooms while larger floor plans have up to 5 bedrooms. In addition some models have a 3 car garage and many homes have room for RV parking.
Most of the lots start around 7,800 sq.ft and go up to more than 13,000 sq.ft. Talavera is serviced by Imperial Irrigation District (IID) for electric, meaning the cost of electric is much lower than those who reside in Palm Desert or further to the West.

What's Going on Nearby the Talavera Neighborhood?
Talavera is located on the North side of Interstate-10 off Jefferson Street. There are major retail centers less than 5 miles from the neighborhood as well as many restaurants. Everything from a pharmacy to a Starbucks coffee shop are located within a few minutes drive. You'll want to be sure to enjoy dinner at DiVino's, a great neighborhood Italian restaurant. What Schools will the Kids Attend?
If you buy a home in the Talavera the local schools are Shadow Hills High School, Desert Ridge Academy, and there is a new elementary school currently being built that will be located near Monroe Street.
