Viewing the International Space Station in Maryland

 

We had a clear Wednesday evening in Maryland and Dolores and I were able to view the International Space Station as it passed over our area.  Viewers  were able to see it at 36 degrees southwest until it disappeared 16 degrees northeast. It was as bright as a star.

If you missed the viewing, you have other opportunities. Viewing will be almost as opportune Friday, Dec. 1, when it's visible for four minutes at 5:26 p.m and Sunday, Dec. 3 for five minutes at 5:18 p.m. Forecasters predict mostly clear skies both evenings, as well.

I saw it Monday 11/27 at 5:41pm for the visibility duration of 4 minutes.

I wish I could have seen that one. I also missed the Space X launch that many could see from here in AZ. I was pictures, but would have loved to see it live as I am a big space fan.

Speaking of the International Space Station, I have a former client who was the commander of the ISS (Dr. Leroy Chiao). As a photographer, I am sure you will appreciate the photos on his website.
