The Alameda’s Farmer’s Market is open to the public Saturday December 2, and Tuesday, December 5 mornings from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, rain or shine. All the fruits and vegetables are available at great prices. So good! Don’t miss the opportunity to shop for delectable fruits, vegetables and flowers. The market is on Haight Avenue at Webster Street and is open rain or shine.
Alameda South Shore Center and Off the Grid food trucks will be at South Shore on Saturday, December 2, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in the South Shore Center parking lot in front of Petco.
Grand Opening Open House & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Alameda Fire Station #3 and Emergency Operations Center on Saturday, December 2 from 1 to 3 pm at 1625 Buena Vista Avenue/1809 Grand Street.
Crab Cove for Family Nature Fun Hour for “Amazing Amphibians” on Saturday, December 2, at 2:00 pm then see what is going on at the Visitor’s Center. Crab Cove is located at 1252 McKay Avenue. Please call 510-544-3187 for more information.
City of Alameda Mayor’s Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony
on Saturday, December 2 in front of City Hall. Entertainment begins at 4:30 p.m with Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5:30 pm and features Candy Canes For Children and a Visit From Santa Claus. More entertainment includes the Alameda Community Band, Alameda Miracles Youth Chorus, Tap Dancing Christmas Trees leading Santa's Sleigh, The Mistletones Rockin' Holiday Special. The Tree Lighting will take place rain or shine.
Live at the Library features Suzanna Smith on December 2 at 7:00 pm at the Alameda Main Library at 1550 Oak Street. Smith presents her tribute to the musical icon and composer, Peggy Lee. Individual tickets are $35 and can be purchased at Books, Inc or Dewey’s Friends Cafe at the Main Library.
