Legality of Using Old Forms (Ontario)

Question:

I received an offer where APS version used is 2013 form. Can this be acceptable?

Answer:

There is a requirement to use current Forms. So, this would be three years out of date. There have been some changes, but the deal between the parties is still a valid agreement notwithstanding that some revised provisions in the 2017 Form were not utilized.

Using old forms is still legal, just not right since the new provisions are not included in it.  There could be something that could have protected the buyers or sellers in the newer contract!!!
