Blinded by the light

Blinded by the light. What a great song that was! But today I am tuneless. You see, I went and had my eyes checked today and I am still waiting for the dilation drops to wear off. So for now, I am blinded by the light.

There is just too much light right now for my poor old eyes to deal with. I am simply overwhelmed by too much light.

This is exactly how many first time home buyers feel when the embark on their first journey towards purchasing a home. Everything they deal with, simple and complex, seems overwhelming. Almost like they had dilation drops put on their brains.

It's OK though. Just like the drops will wear off soon for me, with enough time and understanding from a good agent, even home buyers will feel better soon.

Now, who says you can't make anything relate to real estate?

Love that song & great analogy Peter. It can certainly be an overwhelming experience especially for a first-time home buyer. That's why it's important to have an experienced real estate agent by your side to guide you thru the process.

Fantastic tie-in between the song and message, Peter den Boer ... and Debe Maxwell, CRS is 110% correct.  It speaks to why it's so important to work with  experienced educated professionals, both in lending and agent.  Can't have the "blind leading the blind" ... so to speak ...

Good morning Peter. I'm not sure the analogy is apt but I do know I will be humming the song all day.

Ha!  Very nice analogy!  It can be overwhelming, indeed, to start the journey on your way to first time home ownership.   That's why I like to show first time prospect as many homes as possible so they can develop a repertoire of home experiences to draw from.  Big word - repertoire, lol.
