We have a heavy presence in the Parker community due to our work in Parker property management. This comes in the form of managing several homes and condos in the area, having many tenants who have moved to the area, been inside the community for 5 years now, and even having some owners who call Parker home. Like our other blog series posts, we have a focus on the community events, and in special consideration for the Christmas events. It seems there is never a shortage of this type of holiday cheer. Each week leading up to Christmas will have a lot.
Old Town Parker will be hosting Holiday Carriage Rides on the Mainstreet of Parker starting this weekend and running each Saturday until New Years. The Downtown Parker rides are a mainstay of the community and something that the residents look forward to each year. There is a great balance between the event being free with no pre-registration needed at any time. The lines are never too long in years past, but their year looks like the weather will be a crisp 50 degrees and sunny. In years past we have warned to bundle up for such an event, as it has been historically cold. With the weather being much warmer we expect there may be a bigger output this year.
The rides will start on the corner of Mainstreet by the Lode Town Bank Vault. There will be two carriages in rotation with a total of 4 horses. The carriages can hold 10 people, sometimes a little more depending on how big the kids are. The ride should take about 15 minutes to do the loop down the Mainstreet corridor. First come first served from 12:30 to 5:30. Heading there at the tail end of the event, you can catch the lights once the streets light up.
