New York City is a great place to be around during the holidays. I had a very early meeting this morning in midtown at 7am. I arrived in the city before sunrise which means the the holiday lights were still on.
Less is more and Grand Central is tastefully decorated with wreaths.
Grand Central Station is one of the great landmarks of New York City. Many years ago it was going to be demolished as Penn Station was on the other side of town.
Jackie Kennedy Onasis led the effort to preserve and restore the terminal. I am glad she did. It is always a thrill to step off of my train from Westchester into this beautiful grand hall.
There is always a security detail here from NYPD to keep everyone safe, both New Yorkers and millions of world wide visitors.
