Your Phoenix real estate agent should be a trusted personal advisor. If they aren't, perhaps you should look further.
If it feels like they're just out for a sale, you should run. Fast. Really fast. If they talk over you an push their knowledge down your throat, it might be time to go in the other direction. If they can't seem to help you arrange time to see homes at your convenience, then look elsewhere. If it seems like their pricing strategy is more like a wild guess than an analysis. You get the picture. Go, go, go. Just get away.
Many of today's agents are not seasoned. Frankly, real estate is far too easy to get into. Take a nine-day crash course, pass an exam, and you're licensed to sell property. There's a reason that 87% of all agents get out of the biz within 5 years. Most well before that. Today, any real estate with a few hundred dollars in their wallet can have Zillow advertise their exp[ertise as a real estate agent. Just be careful of who you hire.
The good news is that there are many dedicated real estate agents out there who bring knowledge and hard work to the table. Many of us have worked for decades as professional advisors who can help you navigate your real estate goals and put you in the best spot possible when it comes to finding or selling real estate here in the valley.
