Beautiful colors, Sheri. And now that you mention it, Charlotte is looking more "fall-like" in December than normal. Many trees that should have lost their leave at least a month ago are still dropping them.

Wow, it does look more like September or October.

The weather folks are now saying we may see freezing rain, or light snow on Christmas Eve/Christmas morning. We're all praying it's not freezing rain.

Sheri how interesting I had no idea how it is affected by temperatures, but I should have known better having lived on the east coast changing of the leaves was not an exact science when it came to predicting it:))Endre

Sheri, wow that really is a big difference. I hadn't thought about it but, I bet that's what happened here too. Leaves are gone now but, they were very late going away. Beautiful colors!

My Japanese maple did not lose its leaves this year. I used to be able to put lights on it at Christmas, but not with all the leaves. Yes, weather must have a lot to do with it.

I just love that first picture with all the color in it. Our Japanese Maples around here do not have that much color.
