🎁About the School Program

George McGovern Middle School is a public school in the Sioux Falls school district. The school which is presently located in the northwest corner of Sioux Falls, South Dakota was established in 1995 by Koch Hazard. Designed purposely for middle school students, George McGovern is an adaptation of Memorial Middle School. The school aims at developing students to succeed in all areas of endeavor. There are highly trained and dedicated members of staff that assist students with their home work and tutoring, besides academic activities, there are after school enrichment programs that students participate in.  Some of them are: Healthy afternoon snacks, physical activities,  Arts and crafts, STEM educational programming, cooking activities, outdoor adventure activities, field trips, etc, all in a bid to ensure that the students enjoy their out of school time hours. George McGovern Middle School is an ideal and secured place for children to learn and interact with one another.

Parents should note that the school has provided a counseling section in the school, to guide and assist the students in their academics. The counselor for the 6th grade and 7th grade A-K is Steve Fisher, while Tina Hawkins is in charge of 7th grade L-Z and 8th grade. The counseling office can be3 contacted via (605) 367-4435.
