If you are interested in posting your market reports in ActiveRain Groups, a 2018 Market Reports Group is created for you. 

 

I understand many Rainers no longer use groups ... and that is okay.

I see several good uses for this group:

  • Tracking to see if our market is ahead or behind other markets,
  • I am concerned we have been in a 10 year upward cycle so need to watch with caution.
  • I teach Realtor classes across the country, so this might help me understand other markets.
  • Knowing other markets where my clients are coming from will help me empathise.

Great idea.  I'm picking at big data to find out the nuances and the why.  Big data talks about numbers, but there is no explanation as to why that is.  Right now everyone is saying that people live in their homes 10+ years, unlike past trends of 5-7years. How do they ignore that we had a recession, that 30% of homes were underwater, and that many of those homeowners are now priced out of a newer but smaller home?
