We all know moving can be stressful. There are so many things to consider and take care of. If you have children then you have added things to find out about in your new area, such as information on schools, pediatricians, daycare, sports leagues and/or dance studios just to name a few.
If you have some cute four-legged, furry family members then add to the list above. You also need to find a veterinarian, a groomer, pet stores, a kennel and even a dog park. Let me save you a few minutes of searching by letting you know about the dog parks here in Clarksville.
There are a couple great dog parks in Clarksville. King’s Run Dog Park is run by the city of Clarksville Parks and Recreation. It is located at Liberty Park at 1188 Cumberland Drive. To enjoy this park you must register your pet through Clarksville Parks and Recreation. Registration includes a $10 annual fee per family and proof of vaccines and spaying/neutering. Once complete with registration, you receive a key fob that accesses the gate. The park is divided into a large and small dog area.
Heritage Bark Park is another good place to take your fur baby for some exercise and socialization. It is located at the Heritage Park Sports Complex located at 1241 Peachers Mill Road. There is no cost associated with this bark park. It is also divided into large and small dog areas, but also includes an agility area. This 2 acre park is partly wooded for shade.
Both of these fun bark parks have running water and plenty of bags for cleanup. Of course, please follow the posted rules to ensure the bark park remains a fun, friendly and enjoyable place for everyone. Hopefully, getting out and enjoying some sunshine with your four-legged family members will bring a bit of relaxation to you as well as your furry family member.
