Is this happening in our industry?

We're hearing so much about clients wanting personal sevice. They want to know the Realtor they are working with cares about them and their goals.

This is an insightful article about the mortgage industry concentrating on technology and losing the personal touch with clients. Only taking loan applications online is a perfect example.

Do you think this is happening in the real estate business?  https://www.housingwire.com/articles/42151-the-disruption-of-the-mortgage-industry-has-begun?eid=396016447&bid=1959544#.WkhO2sBeE7g.facebook

Hi Joan Rogliano

Yes.

Being up here in the Greater Seattle Market we see these types of attempts by various platforms to get into the business.

The old paradigm that sort of is falling away is the tech platforms that have to 'partner' with agents who are willing to work for a discount in order to have access to our real estate forms and to have people with access to keyboxes.

The current player is attempting to push into the market using their own forms but that creates their own batch of issues then trying to deal with Brokers but they still lack access to keyboxes.

Our business will likely shift with the times.

As long as the public has to let people into their homes, and up here in the Pacific Northwest it's sketchy letting strangers into ones own home, the real estate industry has time to find useful ways to keep their edge.

Customer Service and a Good Attitude keeps Commissions Strong.

Most agents and brokers forget that. They don't like to admit they are commission sales people. The ones who do know that's true, and embrace what is important to customers, (service and a good attitude) they will do well in any form this industry shifts into.

Happy Selling!

Brad

I hear more and more people who have worked with teams that were unhappy at the personal end of the deal.  they felt like a number

That's a comment we hear a lot here in CO. People often are displeased because they never know who they are speaking with on the team. It's difficult as an agent too because there are a lot of repeat conversations if the team is not communicating with one another. Thanks for your comment and Happy New Year!
