Is Your Townhome in Danbury,CT Worth More Than You Bought It For?

By
Real Estate Agent with William Pitt Sotheby's International Realty CT RES.0783448

Historically across the board for townhomes homes prices are generally midway between 2003 and 2004 prices in the Danbury,Connecticut area. This means if you bought your home in this time period, the home is worth about  what you bought it for. Even if you bought your home within the 5 or 7 years, the value of your still have come up. With the equity that you have built up, you could be able to upgrade into a larger unit or a traditional single family home if your lifestyle has changed. In addition, you also may be money in your home that would allow to you relocate out of the area.

There are not as many active homes on the market as your neighborhood and Danbury as you think. Currently, there are more deposits on townhomes thatn active properties. Per smart, 6/8/2018, there are only 120 active townhomes or condominiums on the market in all of Danbury, even including some new construction offerings. Deposits are contracts are very close to the active units, 99 in total. In certain communities, such as Birchwood, Southwoods, Park Ridge and Lakewood, available is almost no homes.
