Colorado Mountain Real Estate- it’s quiet here, but never boring

Real Estate Agent with United Country Ponderosa Realty, Red Feather Lakes, Colorado

Listing, showing and selling mountain properties allows for many wildlife sightings and viewing scenery that, at times, will take your breath away.  In early December, I was driving back from a new listing on Singing Pines and saw a huge elk herd.  I have never seen so many elk up here, in one place- so that was very exciting, ... and the view from that new listing on Singing Pines will take your breath away

Mary Douglas, Ponderosa Realty Assoc Red Feather Lakes CO

The other day, I was installing a sign and putting the lockbox on another new listing in Crystal Lakes.  The sellers told me where the key was supposed to be hidden, and I looked high and low for it.   If you didn’t know why I was there, you might have thought I was trying to find the best way to break in!

I cased the joint     searched for the hidden key for a good amount of time…walking back and forth and around the outside perimeter several times.

It wasn’t until I was getting ready to leave that I noticed the moose.

Mary Douglas, Ponderosaa Realty Associates, Red Feather Lakes CO

She was watching me the whole time! and it was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop.  Safe to say, moose are not very useful if it looks like someone is trying to break in to your home. They do not call 911, or shout out “Hey! What are you doing here, anyway!?

I love the wildlife and the views. I love the gorgeous sunrises and the way the frost sits on the pines. You don’t have to be a real estate agent to see these things- you just need to live here!

Hi Mary!  I always love your enthusiasm for all the beauty of nature that surrounds you in your Mountain Paradise!

Is Caroling Conifers  a new housing subdivision in the RFL area?

I am not into cold but that is quite the view in both pictures. If you love colder climes then this is the right place.

Hi Joe, I heard it on a Hallmark movie- " there are no cold climates, only inadequate clothing" (or something to that effect) !   Thank you for stopping by to take a look and leaving a comment - I do appreciate it!

That's a stunning view and backdrop for life in that top photo of your new listing, Mary. What a beautiful vision. Only if there wasn't so much snow. I am such a wimp about cold weather. I could do it for a week or two, though. I'm much more of a beach person. And there are days, believe me, that I cannot believe I used to live in the moutains in Colorado. Maybe a summer home . . .

Hi Elizabeth, you know, we have had a prety mild winter so far...really not too much snow - but a summer home sounds like a great idea! Thanks for taking a look, have a great weekend.
