If you live in Denver you have been to The Denver Museum of Nature and Science. You will know that the exhibits are circulated through each period or interest throughout the year. Located at 2001 Colorado Blvd, right next to the Zoo and in the heart of City Park, The Museum is always an illuminating time. The newest exhibit that is coming up has not come at a better time. The Ultimate Dinosaurs exhibit will conclude this January 15th, on Monday. Working in Denver property management has us able to catch each cycle of the exhibits on display as they come through. This exhibit has been open since October of 2017 and will reach its final days this weekend. If you have not had a chance to see it until this point, this will be your last chance to grab it. The exhibit opened hot on the heels of the August 2017 discovery of a triceratops skull in Thornton that made national news. Discoveries like this are crucial for galvanizing the next generation of scientist and any younger children interested in science. Reigniting the passion that prehistoric reptiles can carry, this exhibit should be the only logical next step for you to visit. The highlights of the exhibit include seventeen fully articulated skeletons, life sized video projections of the creatures, 3-D printers creating fossil replicas, and augmented reality viewings rebuilding a Carnotaurus from the bones out. If it has been a little while since you have visited a museum, you will be amazed at the marriage of current technology to fully realize the creatures of old. As VR technology improves, and it is improving rapidly, these exhibits may one day be indistinguishable from reality. What a site that would be, to see actual dinosaurs in the flesh. To be able to go to any period and walk around in the landscape, and see the difference in terrain. Anyone interested in this should get to check it out. It can quite literally be life changing if applied to the right person.
