One of the definitions of local, according to Merriam-Webster is: of or belong to or characteristic of a particular locality or neighborhood. When I think local, I think about the West Chester area.
Where do you go for dinner locally? Living in the West Chester area, one of my favorite local spots is Limoncello. Everyone who knows me knows this is my favorite "go to" place. It's the first place I think of when I have a happy hour with friends, and it's where I go for lunch and it's where I buy gift cards for my clients if they are celebrating something or as a Christmas gift on their first Christmas in their new home.
Another local favorite if you like sushi is Kooma. I took this photo when I was there for a late lunch, long after the lunch crowd had gone. I don't eat sushi but their hibachi is wonderful! They also have a great bar area.
We all have our favorite local places. The local park for me is East Goshen Park. The local cheesesteak place is The Pepper Mill. They also make one of the best Italian hoagies around.
I am lucky in that my office is in the same township as my home. I use a local window company to replace my windows. I much prefer the local hardware store to huge places like Home Depot. At Christmas time, we buy our tree at Wiggins. I frequent the East Goshen Farmers Market. I think when you support local companies it makes the area you live and work better.
The Amish Market in Westtown is also a wonderful place for baked goods and all kinds of goodies.
In West Chester, we even have a local theatre company, click here to find out all that's going on there! I saw a fabulous production of Monty Python and the Holy Grail there.
There is a fabulous Christmas parade and lots of things going on in West Chester. I regularly check at the website of Downtown West Chester to find fun things to do in our hometown. West Chester is one of the winners of the 2017 Great American Main Street Award!
If you are thinking of buying or selling in my local market, please call me. I love it here and who better to promote this area than a local agent who loves it?
