Saturday's Shots - One Last Snow Shot

Okay, I'll admit it! Wednesday when the city shut down, so did I! One showing, a couple of early morning buyer calls (rescheduling showings) and one Deed recordation call from a Closing that happened late in the day on Tuesday and I was free to play all day! And, that I did! I call it bliss...because, it WAS!

When the city shuts down with a snowfall, businesses close, schools are closed and Charlotteans PLAY! The glorious part of that to me is that my phone can go a full day without a charge! One day of this and I'm ready to get back to work. But, while I'm playing, one of my favorite things to do is take pictures and I found this one.

3 years ago, we added extensive landscaping and since we have a vacant lot beside us, awaiting a home to be built, the lot can become unsightly. So, we hid the lot with a row of Arborvitae. They are evergreens that maintain a beautiful green all year but, covered in snow, they are even more beautiful.

This photo represented to me the peace and tranquility that I SO enjoyed on Wednesday!

I agree, Sally K. & David L. Hanson and I think they're more attractive too!

And, LOL, even having 4 seasons here, the winters are typically a lot warmer than they have been the last 2 years - much more bearable! So, snowfalls turn us all into little kids!

Hi Wayne Martin! It's so different than a typical day off - on snow days, EVERYBODY is off! (Well, except those who serve and the media and I feel for them having to work.) Recharging is definitely welcomed!

Debe, I love the snow and we haven't had but three inches of snow here so far this year. I am sure we will get a big snow storm soon. And, that is okay with me as I love to watch it snow and see a blanket of white on the ground.... gives me peace and tranquility.

Debe, we also got that snow that you received but the temp today was over 70 and tomorrow they are predicting 80. I think spring it here but bad weather in the way of storms usually accompanies the arrival of winter at least here in the mid west.

Well ,it was 73 deg F last week many became allergic to flower pollen. This afternoon I saw an older cyclist with shorts on. I mentioned to him it will be mid 20s F this evening. I heard Los Angeles will experience no warmer weather. The plants are confused. Worst is we have about 1+ inch rain since last season.
