Sometimes as Realtors® we take for granted everyday abbreviations that we use, while the average consumer may be confused about them.Our MLS has the following initials, and most consumers have no idea what they mean. As a matter of fact, we have met many Realtors who don't have a clue either.
Here is What You May Find on Long Island's MLSLI and Their Meanings:
LSC.................Last Status Change (what was the last change to a listing?)
NEW...............New listing
PC...................Price Changed
Ext...................Listing date extended
PBA.................Pending Bank Approval (short sale)
TOM................Temporarily off market
BOM.................Back on market
Exp..................Expired listing contract
UC....................Under contract (pending)
CL.................... Closed
RE......................Rented
W/R...................Withdrawn OR Released
