The power of Pinterest - My top 4 articles getting traffic from Pinterest
Pinterest for marketing? Definitely peeks my interest. I have "pinned" so many ideas! Honestly my pinterest account is a mess. I have too many boards! No organization. I could use one full day to revamp my account. While searching for ideas I came across this informative blog post written by Debbie Gartner
Debbie has found a great way to share a variety of interest by marketing her boards online using the power of Google juice and SEO. Personally I found this blog post to be very informative and gained a few ideas to use myself.
If you haven't heard me say this before, Pinterest can be a huge traffic generator to your site. I'm currently getting over 15,000 clicks/month to my blog and I'm hoping to drive that number much higher.
If you want to read more about how to be successful on pinterest, check out this article that I wrote: 11 Pinterest Hacks to drive massive traffic to your site.
All I can say is that I wish I had known this sooner. I had been using Pinterest since 2012, but I wasn't leveraging it for my business. Over the last year I've changed that.
Looking at my last month's stats, here are my top 4 articles getting the most traffic from Pinterest:
- 8 ways to decorate with shiplap for a modern farmhouse look (over 3,000 clicks/month...almost all from pinterest).
- 2017 Carpet, runner and area rug trends
- Dark vs light floors: pros and cons
- How to get rid of popcorn ceilings
The 1st article gets over 3,000 clicks per month and articles 2-4 get between 1,000-2,000 clicks per month from Pinterest. One thing that's interesting is that the 1st and 4th articles don't rank well on google (at least not yet) and almost all of their traffic is coming exclusively from Pinterest. It's really a great way to easily drive traffic to your and give your article a boost before the SEO may kick in.
Sometimes a really great pin can drive ongoing traffic. Here's a link to my #1 pin (it currently has over 3,000 shares). Feel free to check it out, as well as repin it. Repinning well performing pins helps your Pinterest algo.
Also, here's my latest pin for my latest article - Cutest Halloween costumes for pets. It was a really fun article to write. As many of you know, I absolutely love dogs and cats.
I'm hoping this pin (and the article) does very well. If you think this pin is cute and want to help me, then click on it (the link will take to my original pin on pinterest) and then repin it.
I hope this info is handy.
