You Think You Had A Bad Day - Think Again

Sometimes we need a reminder of just how lucky we are.
Imagine - not a great result from taking a ride at night - is it?

Just like everyone who works, we have to balance self, family and work. For  everyone in every job, some concerns are the same.

  • Eating properly?
  • Getting enough sleep?
  • Exercising for physical fitness?
  • Allowing time to relax?
  • Spending the most time possible with family?
  • Keeping in touch with friends?
  • Meeting volunteer obligations?
  • Maintaining the car?

For us, as REALTORS, our schedules include a variety of obligations - Listings, Buyer Showings, Rental Property Management, Lead Management and Continuing Education, to mention a few.

These different scenarios require us to put on "different hats" as we proceed. When checking on a Rental Management property, the interaction is not the same as when going out to get a Listing. Meeting Buyers for the first time is different from attending Continuing Education.

Stress is a continual part of our job as Real Estate professionals.
At times, it can feel overwhelming.

Keeping this photo in mind helps with balance.

Sometimes a reminder of just how lucky we are is so important.

Hi there, Lynn, I saw this in the news. It doesn't look as if it ends well, but as you mention, the occupants walked away. Incredible.

I saw that on the News and couldn't believe it. It was a miracle nobody was killed.

In the first house I purchased in IL I found out that a few weeks prior, a car came down the street, was going too fast around the curve, jumped into and out of the ditch and landed up in the neighbor's front living room next door. Those people were all sitting there watching TV when the car crashed through the window.

But this scene - 2nd floor is surreal! Driver must have been going at an excessive speed. Sure glad nobody was killed. I would bet it's the first time the Insurance Co got a claim like this one too.

When I was in college and lived in the dorm I was awakened one light by the sound a car that crashed into the building about 6 feet lower than the corner when my roommate had the head of her bed.  The floor below us fortunately had their room arranged differently and no one was hurt seriously.

Hi Lynn, I did see this on the news and couldn't believe it.  I agree, as Realtors, we have so many wear many different hats, as well as the ones we wear at home....can be very stressful.

Your Real Estate Resource for Delta County, CO did he get the car up that high? I'm glad that's not me...either the homeowner or the car owner. How ironic I should see this. I just got off the phone with my insurance company and another insurance company I'm seeking quotes from.

My hubby actually 'saved' the news story of this incident that evening to show me when I got home, Lynn!

What is so miraculous is that no one was fatally injured. Thank goodness!
