Do you know about Active Rain's Weltanschauung? Some organizations might call this a Mission Statement, a statement outlining the core beliefs of the company, but Weltanschauung is a much more interesting word, right? Weltanschauung - a new word to most of us.
And that brings me to one of the guiding principals of Active Rain, point #10:
ActiveRain believes that it is in the best interests of real estate professionals to build a community that is focused on educating one another. ActiveRain believes its future depends on members of all experience levels openly sharing their experiences and best practices with others in the field. This communal dialog offers a unique opportunity for professional growth and is the way to share in the dynamism and excitement that constitutes the modern real estate business.
Since joining the Active Rain community in 2008 (9 years have flown by!) I have learned much:
- new tech tools
- various personal development and business-related books
- ideas to improve my handling of open houses
- ways I can bring my appreciation of my clients to a higher level
- tips about flooring, staging, photography, making videos
- mortgage products to serve special niches my clients might have
- more about our unique and diverse country and about Canada.
I have tried being a giver, too, not just a learner. I've written posts about books I've read; things that my clients rave about; business practices that help me.
And I've learned to cherish the relationships I've built here online, via phone calls, and in person.
