Don't Neglect The Sound In Your Real Estate Video Audio.

Real Estate Agent with MOOERS REALTY ME Broker License 106759

The audio track in your real estate video is pretty darn important.

Don't think sound in your video for a real estate listing or local community presentation matters that much? Whoa. Are you still thinking "talkies" are a passing fad? That only a piano player down front is all you need when you settle into the chair? Looking up to take in a moving picture show on the silver screen down at the BIJOU and munching on popcorn, slurping a Moxie.

Ever had someone turn the sound volume off the best part of a show or movie?

How's it feel missing out on some of the important conversation? No big deal or the longer the dead air goes on, do you want to reach for something to throw to get that sound restored? A person standing in front of the living room TV screen is the same interruption that leaves something out. Creates a hole, a loss of something good and necessary that is left out. video player photo

The sound, the audio in your real estate video is needed to round out the transfer of information. Music beds are better than nothing or actually work against the success of the real estate video. They hurt when they are just so random and don't help build the connection. Have you ever heard music that was a distraction not a help on a real estate video sound track?

Audio for your real estate video. It can be like that missing information or a big disappointment. An interruption in getting what you need that was left out and just deemed not so important.

Who turned the sound off or just threw a couple music beds into the mix stitched very badly together? That only hurt, did nothing to help the UX connection for the real estate buyer. For the property the seller listed with you the agent or broker to showcase with real estate video that better have audio sound. What's that? I can't hear you. Speak up. Don't think sound is so important in delivering the message or a help in retention? Click here and tell me how it effects you. Sound in your real estate video is everything in your message. Just as vital as the visual you shoot, edit, render and upload.

You make a good point on sound track.  We worked with a movie dubbing company, and I recall how they showed the importance of music to the story.  A

I always love it when the music I choose clicks with the video, with the change of scenes etc and also for the feel of the home. It also never hurts to allow the background of water running through a stream bed, or the bird song be heard as well.

Andrew- just yesterday I was ready to listen to a video and the sound was so bad I just had to put it on mute. It looked nice but too bad about the sound.

Hi Andrew Mooers | 207.532.6573 thank you for this important post. Thanks to Kathy Streib and her share this morning, I learned from your take on sound. I agree, in our business, voice is the key to building a relationship. Music IMHO does not often tell a story. There is more to sound than music.

You would think this would be so obvious....but's something you really do have to address. All too often lately I've been asking myself "what were they thinking?"

Hi Andrew

Great advice from a master at video and who knows what he is talking about. I think the sound can have a huge impact, positive or negative, depending on that is is and how it relates to the content in the video.

Thanks for the advice, Andrew. I've watched some videos and the music was just too much and would turn off the sound.

No doubt, if you don't pay attention to such an obvious detail, how is this going to make people want to hire you to work for them.  Bad audio= Bad impression!

You make an excellent point. If there is missing information due to no audio, that can severely affect the reception of that video. Thank you for sharing.
