This is another example of the two degrees of separation.

Always act like you're being watched by someone who is going to grow up to be "just like you."  Being a mom helped me learn to treat everyone with dignity and respect, especially during a challenging moment. Ha. Glad you minded your manners, Alan. ;) 

Wow! You never know who you know who is going to read your emails, and who you don't know who knows someone you don't know she knows.  

Oh wow, it truly is a small world. The older we get, the smaller it becomes. And, of course being nice is always the better road.

Alan, When I first started working on the production floor in 1991, I quickly discovered LOTS of the assembly line workers were related.  Mother, daughter, another daughter, all with different last names.  There were aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, inlaws and outlaws.  To this day I don't think I ever got to know all the different connections   What I did understand pretty quickly was be very careful about what was said and to whom.  Bill

Alan, it is a small world where we live. You never know when you're going to run into a neighbor, so-worker, kids teacher, someone from church, past clients etc. Glad it worked out ok.

Hi Alan.  If you want, I can call on your behalf and be rude.  No one will blame you.

That's the same lesson I get from my terrible driving behavior.  I'm impatient, beep a lot, and glare at people.

I learned to tone it down when a family member told me how a woman was incredibly rude to him while he was driving. She had a vanity plate (!) and I immediately knew who it was!  

So I am waiting for the rest of the story ...............what happened next

Nice story, you never know who you are talking to. I got a text a couple of days ago asking if I could help them find a home and it was a little garbled so I was wondering who it was. Today, I got an email and I put 2 and 2 together it is the father of a client of mine, so glad I was not rude either as they want to move to the area and want help buying a home.

You obnoxious? Rude? How about funny and looking at things from a different perspective than most! A good reminder you never know who you are talking to....and its a small world!! Happy Friday!

So true! You just never know where that next client is coming from or who knows you because of who you know!
