Weekend Wine Review Domaine Carneros 2012 Estate Cuvee

This weekend was our friend Pete's Birthday so we had Kir Royal with cassis straight from France, and we started the evening with this bubbly from California, it was delightful in the Kir and without it. This has a honeysuckle smell to it, the taste in the mouth is sweet peach and apricot, and has a very smooth creamy finish. This was a start to our fabulous dinner with homemade french onion soup, and duck breat with sweet cherry sauce, wild rice and brussel sprouts. Dessert was homemade upside pineapple cake all made by my oldest son Peter and his finacee Emily! We had a great evening!
