Empty Bowls Event Coming Again to Clarksville TN
Mark your calendars for the annual fundraiser to fight hunger in Clarksville TN area. The Empty Bowls Event will be held on Tuesday, February 27. The purpose of this fundraiser is to raise funds and bring awareness to the number of hungry people in our city.
For those that want to help by donating a painted bowl, Q108 is sponsoring a bowl painting party on February 6 from 4:30 to 7:30 pm at The Pottery Room on Needmore Rd.
There are 3 host churches serving lunch from 11 am to 1 pm. Dinner is being offered through 6 churches throughout the city from 4:30 to 7:30 pm.
Tickets are available for $15 at the host churches, the Sango Pharmacy and online. At the Empty Bowls event you can enjoy a homemade bowl of the soup of your choice bowl that you will take home. Many of the pottery studios and individuals around town will donate a variety of styles of painted bowls to create a lasting memory of this Clarksville event. The goal this year is to make this the most successful Empty Bowls event, ever.
Here's the lineup. Lunch is served at Trinity Episcopal Church, Grace Lutheran Church and New Providence United Methodist Church from 11 am to 1 pm on Feb. 27.
Then come back for dinner at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, First Presbyterian Church, Sango United Methodist Church, and "South of the River Site" of Salem United Methodist Church. You will need a ticket for both lunch and dinner if you want to attend both.
