I’m a firm supporter of Taylor Morrison Homes and am proud to have closed on another new construction property with my clients. Taylor Morrison builds a quality home and my buyers and I were thrilled with the process. From the sales counselor, Jeannie Burton, to the superintendent, both were easy, affable and paid attention to my clients concerns.
At my suggestion they scheduled an independent inspector who specializes in construction homes for a pre-sheet rock and pre-walk though inspection. What piece of mind...there were very few items noted on the report and all corrected before closing.
Build time took a little longer than predicted as my buyers were away on some trips and couldn’t make their decorating decisions as quickly as they would have liked. As the fall progressed we were told closing would not make a December closing but would spill over to the end of January. We experienced a glitch for closing that spilled over a few more days into February which was a little stressful but it all ended on a good note. It was worth the wait. Happy buyers and that is what counts!
I listed their home last spring in Canyon Creek which sold quickly and they moved to an apartment until the construction on their home was complete. I represented the buyer’s brother and sister-in-law on a Taylor Morrison home next door! They will have their mother over often since she is living right next door.

Buying a new construction home is a complex process and you want to work with a Realtor® that understands negotiating on a new construction home and the building process. I have a good list of independent inspectors for my buyers to inspect their home before sheet rock and before the final walk though. It’s always good to have another set of eyes and Taylor Morrison doesn’t mind because they build a quality home and the list is usually short, but better safe than sorry!
