Ridiculous Offers

By
Real Estate Sales Representative with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers

I am sure I am not the only one who is experiencing this.  My sellers finally lower their price and we get offers of 20% or more below asking price.  The sellers are insulted and wonder why I even presented the offer.    Any suggestions to make this easier on my sellers?

Oh, I know that.  But the sellers already think they have lowered their price to the point where it is already "a deal".

Sellers are not allowed to be insulted.  You need to lay that expectation up front.  If they don't like the offer there is form called a counter offer.

Welcome to Activerain. Congratulations on your first post. That is a great way to start. Make sure to get around and check out other blogs so you can cut the learning curve!

Ted,

Yes, I know but it is not always that easy.  You tell them up front but often they are still not prepared.  I have even had them cry.

Thanks for the comment.
