As you can see by the above photo, I guess I could be called a "professional dieter". My collection of diet books includes Atkins, South Beach Diet, South Beach Diet SuperCharged, Weight Watchers, Rocco's "The PoundA Day Diet" Dieting for Dummies, Body Smart System, Flat Belly Diet, and so on and so on...
It seems like the struggle is ongoing. Over the years, my greatest success has been with the Flat Belly Diet which is a version of the Mediterranean Diet, which I was very fond of. Do your New Years Resolutions include dieting?
The best diet tips for 2018 regardless what diet you select are:
- Avoid fad diets
- Don't go with diets that have severe restrictions
- Eat healthy with lots of fruits and vegetables
- Limit processed foods
- Limit foods high in saturated fats
- Include daily exercise
- Drink plenty of water
I would love to hear about your success stories, or feedback on any diets that you have tried. My hairdresser and I were discussing earlier today, her dieting plans for the new year. She's on Weight Watchers because they have a new freestyle program. Anyone tried this newer version of Weight Watchers with success?
