For the LOVE of helping 
I had an updesk call from a family in a bad situation. They desperately needed to sell and quickly!
I went to the home that evening and was very disappointed in the home as it needed many repairs , including foundation and come to find out the mortgage had not been paid in awhile! The parents had allowed the adult kids and their kids to move in and the house was close to hoarder status! You could hardly walk around their was so much stuff!
The parents were so distraught about the mortgage not being paid because they had helped the children financially !!! I felt sorry for them but also a little mad because no one should let their grown children take advantage of them like that ! I did agreed to help them and listed the home as a short sale.
The home did get negative feedback and I figured it would not sell.The listing was almost ending and I dreaded to tell them I was sorry it would not work, when a cash buyer came through at the last minute! I helped the parents find a rental and the mom cried when they were accepted. She was so worried they would not find a place to live.
This was not a price range that most agents care to work in but I did not care as I do love helping people when they have a real need !!
