My mind is still spinning from all the CRS Sell-a-Bration events, networking, and education sessions over the last few days!
I I just returned from Dallas where I attended Sell-a-Bration, the annual real estate conference for Certified Residental Specialists.
It’s been a whirlwind of informative education sessions addressing topics such as video marketing for real estate, listing and marketing strategies, luxury real estate auctions, tax issues affecting real estate investments as well as tax changes for the real estate practitioner, and how to use IRAs to invest in real estate, just to name a few.
The opening session featured a top national, motivational speaker, Mel Robbins, talking about how to take control of your life - “5-4-3-2-1 GO” was buzzing throughout the rest of the two day event!
As a CRS Ambassador, I – together other with attending CRS Ambassadors from around the nation - was also a volunteer “host” during the event. Since we were in Texas, we were outfitted with Cowboy hats and together, we made our grand entrance at the opening session right after the balloon drop, throwing “We are CRS” T-shirts into the crowd, before being introduced. It was a bit crazy and a lot of fun!
As a host, we were to help other attendees finding sessions, answering questions, helping with the event app, and generally lend a helping hand when needed. For me who is normally a bit reserved around people I don't know, it was a great way to interact and meet other people!
Sell-a-Bration took place at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Dallas – a fantastic venue! The hotel is built around a huge Atrium with walkways, landscaping, and several restaurants.
The entire Atrium was designed with Texas in mind - certain elements reminded me of the Carlsberg Caverns, the River Walk in San Antonio, and the various landscapes found throughout the great Lone Star State. The greatest focal point however, was an interpretative replica of the Alamo! The photo below was the view from my room!
Next year, Sell-a-Bration will take place in Las Vegas. I'm sure it will be another great event jampacked with great information and education to the real estate business and not to mention some awesome networking opportunities with a 1000 or so of the top real estate professionals from around the country.
It's an event where you won't get lost in the masses and will easily be able to connect with other agents and brokers. Think referrals! You do not have to be a CRS to attend (although after experiencing a Sell-a-Bration event, you may want to become one!) – so give it some thought and hopefully, I will see you there!
