Eat Chocolate, Give Blood – Fun in Carlsbad Village February 10

Carlsbad Village is the place to be this Saturday, February 10, if you are interested in eating chocolate, or giving blood, or both!

First, the Inaugural Heart of the Village Blood Drive will take place from 10 am until 3 pm, sponsored by the Carlsbad Village Association. There continues to be a strong need for blood, and this is your opportunity to donate at the Bloodmobile. Donations will be taken in the Visitors Center Parking Lot (the former train depot) adjacent to the Choice Juicery, at 400 Carlsbad Village Drive.

There will be live music, snacks and refreshments, and those who donate will receive retailer discounts good from February 10 through the 14th, Valentine’s Day.

A Chocolate Affair will take place at the Carlsbad Village Faire on Carlsbad Village Drive (just past the railroad tracks) from 11 am until 3 pm.

You can enjoy chocolate pairings/samples, live music, restaurant specials, retailer discounts, and a great time in general.

There is plenty of free parking at the Village Faire, located at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive, although my guess is this will attract a crowd so parking may be a challenge, at least right at the Faire - check out parking on neighboring streets.
