My Second Special Transaction

Mortgage and Lending with George Souto NMLS #65149 FHA, CHFA, VA Mortgages NMLS #65149

Lisa Von Domek is host the "February Contest - Love is in the air!"  In her challenge Lisa asks us to  us to write a blog about three of our favorite transactions witch made us feel good.  This will be an easy contest for me this month because I have done far more than three transactions which stand out in my mind that made me feel good.  The three I have chosen to submit for Lisa's contest were each very special, but for very different reasons.

My Second Special Transaction I have chosen to write about, is a loan I did for a young couple who went to school with my oldest son Matthew  from kindergarten through High School.  I wrote this blog back on December 9, 2006, and just like the first blog in this contest "My First Special Transaction, it will be very obvious once you have read this blog why this was a very special transaction.  Below is the blog I wrote on December 9, 2006.

"Three months ago I did a loan for a young couple that I watch grow up since they were both in kindergarten.  Both of them went to elementary school, junior high, and high school with my oldest son. My son also played little league baseball and sang in the concert chores with the husband.  These were two of the nicest and smartest kids that you would ever want to know.  So when I got the call from them telling me that they were married and buying a house, and wanted me to do the mortgage, I was extremely pleased.

The whole loan process with this young couple went extremely well and quickly.  They had all the documents I needed, the credit was great, plenty of income, and money in the bank.  The house even appraised over the selling price.  The Attorney that did the Closing was also someone they new, in fact her youngest daughter had grown up with them and my son.  I could not have asked for the Closing to go any better or smoother.  This was one of my most gratifying experiences that I have had as a Loan Office."

Very cool George Souto . As my oldest will be graduating from High School this year I look forward to similar circumstances as her friends get to the age of marriage and children.

There is something special about those transactions in which we are given the opportunity to work with those who we've known for a period of time.
