Zig Ziglar Words of Wisdom
"I don't know about you, but the late Zig Ziglar had a profound impact on my life. I know I am not alone, as I know that he has also made a huge impact on the lives of millions of other people as well."
Why is it that some people seem to be able to connect with us on such a deep spiritual level? Almost daily I recite one of Zig's many quotes, or at times, I may reach for one of his books to lift me up or keep me going in times of turmoil. Or I may read something of his while searching for words of wisdom, motivation, or a dose of daily inspiration.
Many years ago, I had the pleasure and honor to attend an event where he was speaking, and he became a positive role model for me. Out of all of his quotes though, I think my all time favorite Zig Ziglar quote is: “You can have everything you want in life if you just help enough other people get what they want” If you think about that quote, it really is quite profound and what a concept! If you just focus on helping other people get what they want, you will end up being successful yourself and get everything you want.
Zig Ziglar always made an emotional connection with his audience. He was able to reach into your heart, because you felt that what he said came from “his” heart. People loved him and he drew a crowd wherever he went. Zig Ziglar was a dynamic and inspiring speaker – and a motivator of millions of people around the world. He spent his life inspiring others to achieve everything that wanted in life and to be happy and practice gratitude.
How inspiring that he himself reached the pinnacle in life and business in his own life. He was truly a positive role model and such an amazing man.
One of my favorite passages of wisdom from Zig Ziglar was that he admitted that there might be times in your life when you deserved to have your own “pity party”. He said that was ok. But, set a time limit on it, like 48 hrs. When the time was up – the pity party was over! It was time to snap out of it and get on with life!
Zig also had very strong opinions about raising children. He felt it was a parent’s job to raise their children to be contributing and responsible members of society, and that it all started in the home. He said, “Never hesitate to tell your children how much you love them and how proud you are of them”.
He preached about “Accountability” Holding yourself accountable for your own actions. Don’t blame others. Look at yourself in the mirror every day. Your eyes are the mirror to your soul.
Zig Ziglars Memorial Service “See you at the Top Celebration” was held on December 1, 2012 at Prestonwood Baptist Church, by Pastor Jack Graham. His given name was actually Hilary Hinton "Zig" Ziglar, and he was born in Coffee County, Alabama. He died at the age of 86 years old. 11/6/26-11/28/12. He wanted his own memorial service to inspire others to "Meet Him At The Top" .
