Construction at the deluxe community of The Summit Club is moving smoothly and the first residents are scheduled to move in this spring. At this time there are ten homes under construction and another dozen going through the design-review process.
Tony Renaud, vice president of sales and marketing for The Summit Club stated “The first people will probably move in by April, and we’re looking at maybe a half a dozen by the end of the year. We have a couple of big ones going up that won’t make it until the end of the year and hopefully a couple of bungalows and villas will be ready to go by then.”
In total there are 146 custom lots and so far 87 have been sold. The lots are going for over $3 million per lot to $10 million for lots with views of the Strip and Red Rock Canyon. The custom homes will range from 8,000 to 30,000 square feet with construction costs as high as $1,100 to 1,200 a square foot.
Buyers have the option to purchase a villa or bungalow – the construction on these homes is scheduled to begin in February and they are located around the fifth green of the Tom Fazio golf course that is already completed. There are also condominiums available for sale in the clubhouse that is expected to start construction in May. There will be 30 clubhouse suites with 14 already reserved and 84 bungalows with 15 of them spoken for. Renaud said the interest in all the types of homes has been quite incredible.
The Summit Club will add another level to the luxury home communities with concierge services and other amenities such as restaurants, fitness center, tennis courts and a kids camp. The custom homes will be situated on ridges 15 to 40 feet above the golf course so they will not be in the path of golf balls. A small portion of the soon to be residents are from out of state however 85 percent of buyers are local residents.
Bottom Line- If you are looking for the top tier of luxurious living The Summit Club is the perfect place to live.
