We all know that staging your home is one of the tried and true tips to follow when selling your home. Studies show that a staged home sells faster and for more money than a home that has not been staged or stands empty. Buyers need to feel like your home could be their home. However, stage it incorrectly and it could spell disaster for your home's sale. Here are a few Havasu home staging no-nos you should keep in mind.

Staged homes sell quicker than unstaged or vacant ones. And you're likely to get more money for it, too. But ignoring these Havasu home staging no-nos could actually hurt your chances for a sale.

Making it Appear "Too" Staged

Closed Doors

The final Havasu home staging no-no concerns your doors. Open them up. A closed door means "don't enter". If that's your master bedroom or a bathroom, the buyer may not think to open it. They assume your home is smaller than it actually is. Open doors allow buyers to move easily from room to room. So, before a showing, walk around your Havasu home and make sure all your doors are open for viewing.
